January/February 2012

I usually think of January and February as sort of "blah" months, but we managed to have a little fun! The weather was sometimes very warm, and you can't beat blue skies.

There's this great little, or big actually, park in the next town over that I have never seen anything like. The kids love it of course, lots of things to climb on!

And spinning chairs to make you dizzy and fall down. Or if you are an adult, they make you dizzy and fall down AND sick.
Uncle Kade is an excellent wrestler of children! Malia played a little background harmonic music to complete the scene.

My Mom sent me this picture of her with her parents. My Grandpa's name is Paul, he is very kind and smart. My Grandmas name is Lynn, and she is........kind of indescribable in a really great way. If I HAD to pick two words they would be quirky and lovable!
We also tried out a cool new place nearby with lot's of indoor things to do like games, bowling, and obstacle courses. Riley amazed me with his willingness to conquer his initial fear of walking along these beams which were actually very high above the ground. He is a brave little kid!

My mom was here to visit in January so that also made the "blah" month MUCH better.

I loved these little bowling balls. They were perfect for Malia's first bowling experience.

I love the "bunk bed room" in the basement. It's kind of like a movie room too, and the kids like to hang out and watch movies in there on weekends. It's fun having bunkbeds, although I remember falling off of one when I was a kid! I think this one is safer, hopefully.....
Talk about strike a pose! Malia is definately feeling like a diva these days. I don't encourage her at all, I promise....
