May 2013

So far it's been a great spring!  I have been pining away for this time of year....
flowers, rain, warmth, playing outside.  All the things that go away in the winter.

Riley is into science experiments.  This was an interesting little "invention" as
Riley calls it.  Basically you pour water in the top cup and it flows down through
holes into the bottom container.  VERY scientific :) Malia as always is right there
for all the action and for picture time shares one of her cool poses.

Riley reading a bedtime story to Malia.  There are some moments between
these two that are so sweet.  He definately takes the big brother role
seriously.  I love when I overhear him teaching her something, like he was
with this bug book.  And she soaks it all up!

The next few pictures are of Ben's birthday!  He and I went to eat at Tucanos
and then out to a movie.  When we got home with did "cake" and presents.

These three.....love them!

Trying out foam rollers!  This is a right of passage for every little
girl, right? I remember being forced to sleep with them in, so now
it's Malia's turn!  Bwahahahahaha!

So the very old three wheeler is gone, and enter in much cooler red
four wheeler!  Ben loves it, the kids love it, I have yet to ride it but
I'm sure I will soon, once I'm not so enormous.

Aaaaand baseball!  Riley is loving baseball and doing such a great job
this year.  He hits the ball really well, plays catcher most games, and is
starting to understand the game.  I LOVE watching him.  My favorite is
when he get's to a base, or does something good, he looks over to check
if we saw, and we get excited and give a thumbs up or wave.....and then
he tries to suppress his own grin and quickly looks away,
because he is cool now, and a baseball player.
But he still wants our approval.  I love him!!!

The little white round blur is the ball he just hit!

Coming into home base, feelin' cool.

I let Riley have an End of School Year party.  I know....I'm an
awesome mom!  Pizza was served, as usual.

Ben is a necessity at these parties!  He is the fun one!  He's
playing "blind tiger" with the kids, trying to grab them with his eyes closed.

Spanish Fork playground and splash pad.  The kids
love this place.  Plus it's right by Costco, and unfortunately I
love Costco.  The nice free activity of the park and then
dropping $100 at Costco.  I should say I love/hate Costc0.

We had my family up for dinner one evening, and it was also
Danny's birthday so here he is getting ready to blow out the candles.
Very fun night!  We missed Kelsey and Ryan though.

Seven Peaks!  First of hopefully many visits there this summer.
