So I know I've been complaining about the horrible winter
and cold. Well now it's June, and it's time to complain
about the heat :) I would still take hot summer anyday!
And it has been a very warm June so far. We have hit
100 degrees once already! But a nice long stretch of 70's
would have been nice. Still happy!

Father/Sons camp out. I love this event. Just knowing Ben and Riley are doing something so fun together. Malia and I had a nice girls night. We went to the movie, cuddled, I even let her sleep with me. Apparently the guys froze at the camp out. Ben had some water in a bottle, and it froze overnight. I like my bed. |
Backyard camp out! We let the kids sleep outside one evening, but the winds really picked up in the middle of the night so at 1am I dragged them back inside. Malia was in such a daze. I was literally yelling at her over the wind to come out of the tent, and she would just stare at me, for several minutes! I finally had to go in the tent and drag her out. She remembers nothing of it the next morning. It was a wierd middle of the night experience for everyone. |
Blah! Well usually I take a nice 6 month pregnant picture, for remembrance sake for each of the kids. I sort of missed the official six month pic so here is a much less attractive 8 1/2 months pic. I don't mind the big belly, but the butt and EVERYTHING else is getting fat and uncomfortable! I have never complained so much with a pregnancy. I have always been fine with the babies staying put until due date. This. Time. Is. Different. |
Camp out in the yard! Before the wind fiasco. Riley with his nice smile and Malia doing her thang. |
I love this picture! I love my kids. They are the best! |
Oh dear. Little swimsuit, mommy's boots, and strike a pose. Where does she GET this?? |
Showing off her art, and trying to look like an artist. |
Hanging out at Riley's baseball game with Grandma. |
After a good game. Did they win? Who knows. I don't even know if anyone is keeping track. |
Ready for the big Spring Dance Recital. I used foam rollers, and learned a lesson about what happens when you do very small sections and then make your child keep the rollers in until JUST before the recital. It was a hair explosion! |
Malia and her two little besties. They are all so adorable. No pictures of the actual dance because it was dark and my camera can't handle it, but it was very cute even with the long awkward moments of the girls standing there looking at each other for clues on what to do next :) |
My mom gave Riley this briefcase and he literally said "This is a dream come true!" He insisted on taking it to the dance recital. I love the funny little things that make his world go round. |
She is such a little princess! The song for their dance was "I Am A Princess" and I think the song, the costume, and all of our encouragement have combined with Malia's natural instincts and she now KNOWS that she really is a princess :) |
I was laughing so hard when I looked at my camera right after this shot. I said before the shot "Okay Malia, smile nice. Let's take a nice picture." She agreed sincerely, and THIS is what we got. |
"Okay Malia. Very funny. Now let's really take a nice picture." I give up!!!!! |
